It sounds like the buyout is in place and that the three targets are Tedford, Tubberville and Rodriguez. I think Pelini and Strong are also in a 1b) type spot on Byrne's list, but I think there's at least a 50% chance that Pelini goes to Nebraska, especially if Tom Osborne has any say in the matter.

I'm not saying we don't have the money or resources to get any of those three but it's not like those three are in that bad of a position at their own school. I just don't see them leaving their current situation to come here.

Agreed, we're certainly not Baylor nor Cougar High. Fact - Morris is Baylor's 1st coach to have a $1 million or greater salary.

I also agree with having faith in BB. He is doing a great job by producing tangible results. His judgement is definitely an asset.

Honestly, I'm really not blown away by any of the "leading candidates" mentioned by rumor to date. There does not appear to be an obvious clear-cut candidate. On that note, I'd love nothing more than for BB to hire an unknown who turns into a monster! :gig:

He has 5 years of coaching experience. All 5 of those years have been as a LBers coach in the NFL.

He has never been a head coach. He has not even been a coordinator. He has never coached in college.

He might be ready to be a HC at a small school or a crappy school, but definitely not at A&M.
