The second quarter [Archive]

In all three of the games in which we've played a real team(Miami, OSU, TTU), we've been outscored in the second quarter 55-0.

Anyone else see a major problem with that?

yes it is a problem. other coaches are able to make adjustments through out the game..... for some reason, our coahes an only make adjustments at halftime.

We're about to be 1-2 against real teams...that's my real problem.

Honestly at this point it's not about the stats, its the defense slowing Tech down some to start the second half followed by our offense going 3 and out.

Of course regardless of coach I've been watching the same song and dance for nearly 10 years. I dont' know why I thought this game would be any different.:sad:

get rid of everyone...get an awesome QB coach to boot...

we got manhandled today...by TECH!!! a finesse team...

we were NOT the intimidator...
we did not wrap up (one of the MANY problems...)...but rather went for the "sportcenter" hit...

here's an idea I would tell my players:
"YOU DON'T MAKE SC ON A BIG HIT FOR A PLAY THAT GOES FOR >35 YARDS!!!"

and for the love of all that is good...PLEASE don't act like you're the shiznit & jaw back & forth when you "run over someone" or make a form tackle when you LOSING 35-7...freaking ridiculous...

We had guys doing that behind 77 to 0. And then right after we act like a fool they pan to Stoops laughing his ass off. :laugh:
