I see the possability of the players and coaches not being able to put the Fran situation behind them and lose focus on the games ahead. I hope this doesn't turn into a situation where the team finishes out 5-7 or 6-6, but I see how this may happen. These players are still just kids and if they are not prepared for the games like they should be and are preoccupied with who their coach will be next year, then we will not win another game this year. I also gotta believe that the coaches do not have 100% if their heads into the games either.

For some of the coaches that may be a good thing.

It will be one extreme or the other. This team has more leadership than any team since '98. So, I think this could help them all band together and play their asses off for the next 6 games.

It will unify them. No more Fran supporters vs. fran haters on the team. Everyone knows that they will have a new coach next year, so the only thing to do this year is go out & win some F-ing football games.

I think this team has had an "us vs them" mentality since a few weeks back. I think they'll continue that and keep playing as a team. Hopefully that equates to a miracle season.

It could be like Varsity Blues, they are playing for themselves now ;)

I hope they have realized the need to focus on "play for the name that's on their chest, Texas A&M" and not just for fran. :gig:

How will the players respond? Well if we use the transitive property of college football it should give us an answer. The last few games against Baylor have been close but we won last week pretty handily. Therefore the team should band together and we win at tceh right?

Outspoken displays of team unity are as worthless as a truck full of dead rats at a tampon factory when our "coaches" do not put our players in the best position to win either during the game or off the field. Unfortunately, our players have now seen this and quit executing during the 2nd QTR today.
