Well, even with that mentality, because your team won't be tested going into Big XII play. I would say, if it's only exhibition, why don't we schedule tough games for all 4? That way when the "real season" starts, you're prepared...

'Cause Fran is afraid we'd be 0-4 at the beginning of the season and completely demoralized, that's why.

I guess Fran believes that his only way into a BCS bowl is to win the Big 12. Otherwise it seems like he would view the non-con as more than just an exhibition.

That attitude hasn't really done anything for Fresno State. I don't think there's anything wrong with the way we've scheduled non-conference games to this point.
