I have been an avid follower of aggie football for the last 11 years now. That is significantly shorter than many of you but that really doesn't matter. What I have noticed over that time is that no matter how bad the team and coaches were doing, there was always at least one column after losses that was in some way sticking up for the team and coaches.

This loss is different.

I haven't found a single article that has the slightest positive thing to say about the game or the coaching. Even Coach Slocum had some defenders till the end when he was removed. (I am not making any comments one way or the other on that coaching change). Is this the real signal that the end is coming for fran or are the big money donors still going to have to make the call? Will BB wait until he sees a serious drop in income before he makes a move?

I don't believe a serious drop in income should be an indicator or taken into consideration. I am a season ticket holder and have been for the past 8 years. I am not willing to give up my season tickets because I am not satisfied with our current coaching staff. My thought process is that I support my team no matter where we are and want to keep my tickets so that I am there when we are competing again for conference championships. If I were to give up my tickets now showing my lack of support for the coaching staff, then I would not be able to get them back when things were better.

It's the extra donations from the big 20 or so donors...it's their voice that the board listens to put it into corporate terms.

DeLoss didn't fire Mackovic, it was Tom Hicks and Joe Jamail...they also hired Mack Brown...
