Looking at Fran's time here at A&M, he has had his worst seasons on odd numbered years. In 03 he went 4-8, in 05 he went 5-6, and in 07, 6-6 or 7-5 is a very distinct possability. This has more to do with our scedule flipping to having tougher road games on those years, but there has been improvement each year. His even numbered years, he has gone 7-4 and 9-3, again improvement each year. So by this logic, in 08 we should go 10-2 or 11-1, have a slight drop off in 09, and go undefeated in 2010. :wow:
Allright, so I completely pulled that out of my a** and is total BS.......Fire him

So even numbers are good and odd numbers are bad? Ok, you engineering nerds, this is football not Star Trek movies. :spy:

Fran needs to show he can change and back that in the way he calls games and manages the overall team. He needs to either open up the offense or go and get a badass OC like Mullen from UF and let him call the plays. Also Fran needs to make sure Darrnell is getting the defense ready scheme wise and putting the best 11 guys on the field, even if thats playing freshman. Its like we never got the Fran that coached NM, TCU, or Bama, we just someone who likes like him.

Can't speak for his tendences at NM or Bama, but I watched him closely at TCU - we have at A&M exactly the same coach that TCU had.
TCU's defense got a lot more exciting after Fran left TCU and Patterson, the DC, took over as head coach.
Looking ahead, the only loss that would really bother me would be to tceh and Mizzou, if that happens. For Fran to be earning his $2 million a year, we ought to be consistently beating those teams.

He needs to coach the rest of this season to impress his next boss, whoever that will be in 2008.

I think Fran needs to throw Les under the Bus and go get a new OC. If he wants to run the Urban Meyer offense then go get someone who has coached with Meyer and knows how to install it right like Dan Mullen, or go get the OC from Illinois Mike Locksley who is also a top notch recruiter and head coach material. The OC from Clemson Rob Spence runs one of the top Spread attacks in the county. Then Fran just nees to let the OC call the shots.

So which is it? At first it is get rid of Les, thus implying that Les is not calling good plays. Then it is Fran needs to let the OC call the shots, thus implying that the OC is not doing that now.

Coordinators under the bus every year is what got RC.

Yep. It was always someone else's fault. Eventually the guy that hires the coordinators has to take the hit.
We've had two D coordinators so far, and the new one is only a marginal improvement over the old one.

We should keep Fran next year as Jorvorskie Lane's personal assistant.

Well, we could keep Fran and prove to the world that regardless of the ineptitude of our coaching staff, we will always be loyal.
:bs: CAN that mofo and bring in someone who can get things DONE.
