So far they are 3-1 and this is how I believe they will finish:

Baylor - Win but a close one
Okie State - Win but a shoot out
TX Tech - Loss - bad one
Nebraska - Loss, close one only because its is Lincoln
Kansas - Win but a very close one
Oklahoma - Loss, won't go there
Missouri - Loss in another shoot out
Texas - Loss, close one

So this will give our team a 6-6 record.

I love our players as the talent is there. Its just the coaching staff that sucks!

what has texas done this season to prove they can turn around that sh*t performance last year when they come to our house?

I agree win Vly....9 wins, and Fran stays

Honestly though, if I'm right and Fran gets 9 wins with this schedule, why's that sad he's staying? It takes a good team and some good coaching to do that with this gauntlet of a schedule. There's a reason every odd year is bad for A&M over the past couple... If Fran can do that this year, imagine next year when we get those tough road games at home. (along with the rematch against Miami at home).

Well...... That gives us a 7-5 record which is on the bubble but the win over Texas saves him. I would think anyway.

IF you were right about Fran and he had the ability to win 9 this season, we wouldn't have had to watch our program get pants'ed on national tv last night.

IF Fran can do that this year, imagine what he could have done with months of preparation for an un-ranked Miami team.

A win over t.u. with a final 7-5 record would be a tough call. Th eraod schedule is a beast this year, you have to take that into account.

We'd probably go to the furnitrue .com bowl or something with a 7-5 record. Maybe being emabarrassed by another 7-5 or so team from another conference would put the last nail in the coffin.

9-3 and runner-up in the B12 south is the best we'll ever get from Fran - he simply won't make the calls to win the big games CONSISTENTLY that it takes to win the conference.

a 7-5 record even against this road schedule is a ticket to unemployment in my opinion

they said the same thing about mack brown, let's let THIS season play out

Where does that put us in the post season though. Another blow out loss to a Cal or some other school in the Holiday or possibly Cotton? You are right, with all the tough teams coming to Kyle next year it shouldn't be as difficult a schedule, but isn't next year the different schedule with iowa state, colorado and k state? That could be a difference maker right there.

I think the damage is too extensive. Just when we start thinking our program has turned the corner, we are proven wrong on national TV. It has to stop.

If you were a top recruit, would you really be considering signing with A&M after last night? If I were a recruit's parent, I would advise him against it.

You are exactly right. But when you think of the mindset of the average A&M fan the Texas game is huge and can trump all that. 60-70% of the fans aren't here on fan boards dissecting every play and stat. They see us win games at Kyle and beat Texas and are happy. Sucks but that's how it's always been.

i don't think that's the case at all...if anybody does that, that's just sad and ignorant and don't know what football is/haven't lived in texas long enough

Unfortunately, last night's game against Miami will not be the last time we get owned on tv this season, I'm very sorry to say.

There will be other opportunities this season, against better programs managed by superior coaches, for more Aggie football fans to see clearly what some of us have been saying for a while now...... Fran is not the best coach for our program.

Lest we forget, a 6-6 season means no bowl game. Montana State is 1-AA.

Is it not true that bowl eligibility require 6 wins against Div. 1-A programs?

Gravy

Baylor - Win but a close one
Okie State - Win but a close one
TX Tech - Loss - in humiliating fashion
Nebraska - Loss, at least by two touchdowns.
Kansas - Win but a close one
Oklahoma - Loss, another humiliating one
Missouri - Loss at least by two touchdowns.
Texas - Loss, close until end of third, then tu pulls away.

This is our best case scenerio. Kansas has been looking strong, and Baylor will be really up for us now that every freaking team in the country smells weakness. This also assumes that Javorskie Lane will be playing in every one of these games. If the same crap happens that happened last night with regards to Lane playing, mark Kansas and OSU down as losses. I hope everyone is going to the Baylor game....there is every possibility that if we pull that one out, it will be the last win of the season.

I believe you can throw in a Div 1-AA school in that 6 wins every 1 or 2 years. They changed the rules to allow more years where a 1-AA win goes into the 6 win bowl eligibility.
