We all know our passing game is just horrible (from the routes to mcgee's lack of wanting to pass) could the O be hurting the pass D? If thats the best our D gets to practice against (not counting the practice squads) our D could be thinking they are better than they are.

And conversely since our D isnt getting better does the passing game work far better in practice because our pass D blows so they think they are better than they are?

I think it could definately hinder the ability to compete. My question is, do they actually practice 1st team against 1st team? I thought they practiced against a second team or a scout team

That's true. I had a thought while i was thinking about the whole scrimmaging in practice thing. Who is the head of our scouting department? The skill level could be incredible, but if we don't have accurate scouting then our scout teams will not be running what they will face and therefore that would put our team at a huge disadvantage if they aren't prepared for what they see on saturdays(in the case a thursday) Just a thought, but it could have something to do with not being prepared as well.
