I've been doing a lot of tweaking and changes to the contest and am now going to start changing the "user side". What are some things you'd like to see different or you think I can do better?
Things on the "to do":
1) Allow you to edit your tiebreaker score
2) Make changing your picks easier and a one-step page (instead of the multiples it is now)
What else do you see/want?
Thanks,
Vly

Change the standings page. I don't care for the spreadsheet look. :stupid:

nm. already fixed.
EDIT - dam, there is a crazy # of people on that YTD leaderboard that have never made any posts on this board. that contest sure brings them in. hopefully the winner of the whole thing will be a poster, would suck to see the prize/s go to someone who just showed up for the contest.

let people opt into some sort of an email reminder system... or automatically remind every person who has entered that contest.

just to give vly some ideas but how would you want it displayed? i dont particularly like the look either but all of that information is useful so i dont think we want to remove it.
maybe a ytd status page that only has the total score and you have to click on the username or score to get the detailed info.

I already have an idea...
Have just the YTD total listed, then each persons name is a pop up link to their week-by-week results. Makes the page look cleaner. If you want to see week-to-week results comparatively, you can use the weeks page.

I had a good week last week (13 right) but missed the first week. Sucks!

Vly, that sounds like a good idea. The spreadsheet just looks too cluttered.

I have updated the way that you edit your picks. If you choose to enter picks and you already have entered them, it automatically detects that and pulls your picks on to the matchup page. You just submit it after making your changes and life is good.
As a side note, this week only, it will reverse your tie-breaker scores. That will be fixed next week...
Also, on the results page, if you click your own name, it will show you your picks and not tell you that you can't see the picks until the contest is closed to new entrants.

some good changes here... 2 little things i would add to the list.
on the error page when you try to view somebody else's picks it doesnt put their username in... just says , you cant view this users picks or whatever.
also if possible it would be nice to add a section at the top of the standings page with your line so you dont have to hunt through the list to find your entry. i think we had that at one time.

in the rules it states
you must select at least one winner for all games
it should say
you must select one winner for all games listed
because
you can't pick both and at least signifies more than one selection is possible
It's been bugging me for three weeks
Oh and the links on the radio link are white and unreadable unless highlighted

If you have Maroon Classic as your theme, tell me if you like these YTD standings better...

The name of the user is a link to their picks. The score for each pick is a link to the results.

That link gives me a blank white page.

You need to make sure that you have MAROON (DEFAULT) set as your theme. Aren't you using the Classic view? I didn't put it in that view yet since this was just a test.

Oh, ok. Yeah, I'm on Classic.
