high ranking officials have a camera on their every move and if the secretary of defense is spending time on a messageboard it might be construed as he's not doing his job properly. Also do a google search for ranger65 and see other users for different messageboards using that same profile name.

both of those profiles have independent reasons for their names. Theyre both rangers and 65 has a significance to it for them.

From what I can find he has never personally confirmed that is him to the public/media. It was reported that an A&M official confirmed it was him and he posted it anonymously online. Texags has there inside sources but I can not find anything from a reputable source other than blogs that can confirm or deny this.

You don't think that maybe Texags saw their world starting to crumble with so many spin off sites and disgruntled posters that they came up with this idea? People have fake identities all the time online. And since only the administrators there can get access to the ip addresses it's not like anyone can really find out.

I sent him an email when all of this came out (school related email). I also asked if it was truly him and in his response, he confirmed that it was. I know it was Gates responding because of the nature of the initial email and his response.

I think it is awesome that he is keeping up with A&M and occasionally leaving messages. He really understood what it meant to be an aggie and represents us very well.
