After last year I had posted a thread on the similarities between the 06 & 97 team... because of their records & just because of the nature of both seasons....
Just to piggy back that.... History isn't too far off....
98 by many Aggies is considered the best Aggie year aside from the MNC Chip year before all of us were born....
I wonder how many of ya'll would be doing right now if A&M struggled against La Tech, Southern Miss, & North Texas.... :wow:
So what if the Ags didn't put away Fresno State... the Ags are 2-0....
And lookie here... A&M is playing a school from Florida following a 9-4 season.... Hopefully these Ags will do better.... no you know what... they will do better...
Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it...
I would have hated to be a fly on the wall around Aggies then... Especially after getting beat by FSU week 1, then barely beating La Tech, S. Miss, & N. Texas.... man the frustration that would have been swirling around must have been unbelievable....
Seeing how we have the same Conference Schedule and while NU was the Top 5 team then, OU will fill that role this time..... Anyone remember how "UNSTOPPABLE" that NU team was supposed to be?
I can see this season duplicating that year, only difference is we have a better team now..... So better results are possible... :gig:
