<----- I am

I left the game at halftime today. I've never been to a game so hot. I started feeling dizzy and had to get out of there. Thank God it's on FSN

yeah, i know. I'm definitely the type to stay at every game. In fact, this is the first one I've ever left early. Just couldn't do it or I might be passed out right now

Should I turn on my AC? I have my heater on right now. It's 119 degrees in my living room. I'm bleeding along with the players and 12th man.

They just don't make 'em how they use too. When I was going to school it was 140 degrees for every game. Plus they didn't have any water fountains and the snack bars didn't sell any drinks of any kind. There was usually one canteen per section and we'd pass it back and forth and take a sip. I usually would pass on my sip and give it to my neighbor like a good Aggie.

we had to leave as well. The kids were so hot, it was horrible. People were actually passing out in the 500 section(s).

First half was brutal. Two people in the row right behind me collapsed. It got much better in the second half though. Really glad I stayed, it turned out to be one of the most exciting games I've been too. I can barely talk, almost passed out from yelling and the heat. Loved that the entire student section moved from side to side as the overtimes changed end zones to get closer and yell. Felt really good finally winning it. I thought nothing was going to get me down till I made the mistake of reading these stupid message boards. Anyway headed to Northgate now to celebrate, so all the armchair quarterbacks on the other threads and boards can continue overanalyzing and bitching about every little thing. Have fun. :gig:

I was sad to see so many leave the game but understanding the situation, and the opponent, I dont think too bad about it. But truley after seeing so many gone (not that this is true) but it seemed like our team was gone... No passion in the game until later 4th Q, it seemed like.

It was damn hawt I agree, we stood in the ramp watching on the 12th man tv for about 10 min but then got back out there.... Im burnt pretty bad but a hella game.

I am sorry for all those that left, I hope all feels well. Be hard, but not a retard. Take your health into consideration first!

Me and the g/f had to leave early. We didn't want to drop dead from heat exhaustion.

From now on, no more Sept. day games. Night games only....memo to self, email Byrne about that Monday.

I made every game, and we always played at 1:00pm when I was in school (94-98). I saw plenty of kids passing out. I'm surprised it never happened to me!

it took some getting use to the heat, but after about half way through the 1st qtr, i didn't really notice the heat too much. definitely not unbearable with a bottle of water. the clouds and breeze in the 2nd half made the game pretty nice.

I counted 6 people that I saw pass out during the first two quarters

Today wasn't any hotter than that SMU game in 2005. I think I'm still sunburned from that game.

pretty sure that was 1998 or 1999. dam those rain games sucked. they were a lot worse than this "hot" one.

Actually it was 1999. Because we played Nebraska at home in 98 (I know because I missed my cousin's wedding because of it) and it didn't rain. One of the best games I have ever seen live by the way.

I have no issues with folks leaving today. It's like being seasick as a sailor. You can be fine 200 times in the same conditions in a row and then just suffer like nobody's business the 201st time.

I hydrated like a mad man the night before and on the drive over. So did my wife. I'm out of shape she is not. She had to leave the stands for about 30 minutes to get out of the sun...the heat was nuts.

CoolaidWade

The best cure: Go run or ride your bike every afternoon. Or when you work outside in the middle of the summer wear 65 pounds of overcoats. That would all probably help me in the stands.

But then again I wasn't there.

Dude...get some scene control...unless she is pregnant..you gotta lay down the law! mine offered to change seats with me so she would be directly in the sun for a while and i would be shaded behind her(not much shade there)....my shoes were so hot that i thought about taking the off at one point...in 20 years...i've never been so hot in Kyle...
