Koenig is incompetent.

Well, he's got 9 touches so far and JTrain has 7.

Agreed... which is why I hope Mike is used more in the WR'ing game... just something I'd like to see & with the way the O'Line & WR's are playing... Mike on swing passes is becoming MANDATORY....

Goodson had 23 and Lane had 23. Guess Koenning isn't an idiot.

BUT i think these threads by him appeared all throughout last season. i personally like him a whole lot more during the offseason.

That's like saying we will definitely win in Iraq by dropping xx tons of bombs (say 20). And we know that's no true!
I think we all started worrying about touches when the Cowboys went on a great run from 93-98 (or whatever the years were) and every week we'd hear about Emmitt Smith's 25 touches "resulted" in a Cowboys win... Somthing like a 25-3 record during that run. Nobody ever studied the film to see if the "touches" came in the 4th when the game was out of hand, or whether all the "touches" were in the first half to set-up the defense.
I see this metric not showing direct causation.

I have to agree with that 100%...
We expect the team to learn from previous years yet we fans can't seem to do the same....
Obviously, the way A&M played Army or the Citadel last year had ZERO effect on how A&M played on T+1... yet here we are with damn near every team in the country struggling, A&M is 2-0 & were melting down....
:headslap: for anyone starting to panic....

If you notice I was making an observation in the first quarter of the game. It was essentially an "if" "then" statement. The fact that Goodson did touch the ball +20 times negates the "then" part of the statement. Way to try and make me a negative person when I was actually portraying the positives resulting from Goodson having the ball in his hands. :bored:

Where is the meltdown? Goodson caught the pass for a td and I made a statement saying he needs the ball alot. Y'all people are just expecting a meltdown and turning everyone's statement that doesn't "toe the line" as being a "meltdown"

I don't think Goodson getting 23 carries was a positive.

Yeah this season is just like '98. That season we lost our first game to the NUMBER 2 team in the country and then we beat the number 2 passing team in the country by 21 points while holding their defense to 320 yards below their average.
These two years are mirror images so far. Thanks for pointing that out.

if the 23 were 15 runs & 7 catches... I think that would be better....JMO.....

I agree. Goodson is like Reggie Bush in that he's can kill you as a receiving threat out of the backfield.

again you were wrong. I posted the links (as a joke) when they forced an overtime after playing like a jv football squad from a 1A school.

So losing in any way shape or form is ok......Not to mention barely beating La Tech that year in week 2.....

I'm not talking about 98 Pum.... no one gives a **** about 98... Fran wasn't hear taking away the fire and intensity that we should play with. When yesterday did anyone other than Mike and Lane show intensity. Most of the guys wanted off the field and that's not a good thing. Now this thread was about how after Goodson scored a td that he needed to touch it more often. I know you agree with me so what the hell is the deal?

Neither team yesterday had a lot of heart... it was 120+ outside... hell the 12th Man couldn't even handle it.... when was the last time you saw the crowd leave due to heat.....
and the guys did their best in those conditions....

Two years ago versus SMU, four years ago versus Baylor, last year versus LaTech. When was the last time you stood on the student side for 4+ hrs?

I've been deployed to Bahrain, Jordan & Iraq for 6 months where the heat would make Kyle Field yesterday look like winter....
Don't talk to me about standing for 4 hours....:stupid:
Try living in heat worst than that.... Sleeping in it, working in it, eating in it... you name it, & do it in that type of heat.... Standing for 4 f'ing hours....
Give me a damn break.....
Mind you... we slept in tents (NO AC), we worked in outside & in tents (NO AC), & the chow hall was a tent not big enough for everyone so we ate outside....

Dude it was 95 degrees outside with 50% humidity...the temp on the field was 140 with no breeze. I shudder to think of the head index.
You did it congrats, but you were also very acclimated to it and you don't weigh 250 lbs with 10% body fat...bench press 400 lbs, run a 4.5 fourty and/or deal with the effects of a car crash on nearly every play.
Walking, doing basic jobs, etc is one thing...doing what football players do the size that they are these days is an aboslutely different ball game. Especially the Fresno State guys...most of them are Northern Cal guys who probably see 1 or 2 days all year that would trully be considered oppressively hot.
There were 100+ heat related emergencies int eh ZONE alone. I stayed the whole time and didn't have an issue with it because I remain pretty acclimated to the heat but not everyone can say that.

Nope haven't.... but like I said... 4 hours in any stadium can't compare to 6 months of constant heat....
Regardless.... of that.... you gotta love how some folks can't handle standing for 4 hours... yet get pissed at the team for having to play, sprint, tackle, & bust their @$$ off for 4 hours in those same conditions.....
Fans = Yeah we could never do what ya'll do, but damn it, you better get better....

Studying animal health it's a known fact that animals (including humans) can survive extreme temperatures. What is deadly is the combination of temperature and humidity. for example I used to haul hay all summer long in West Tx with the temperature over a hundred every day. That was a thousand bales a day which is some hard work. The first time I tried to run in College Station humidity at 90 degrees I thought I was going to die. It's not the same.

What do you people not understand. I said if goodson dosen't get the ball in goodson's hands Koenig is incompetent. Goodson did get the ball therefore Koenig isn't incompetent. Do you people not want goodson with the ball in his hands?
