Fresno State's defense will be practicing against an offense with an invisible ball this week.
But coach Pat Hill doesn't have a screw loose, he's trying to tighten any that are loose in the heads of his defensive players and discipline them to stick to their responsibilities.
"That way you never know who has [the ball] and you have to play your responsibility," Hill said Monday during his weekly news conference.

Interesting

interesting way to prepare for the option threat where everyone has a responsibility, i reckon.

I thought this was about certain coach in Austin & his inability to really punish players...

Nice take on it...you may be correct. However, this approach means J-Train should find himself isolated against one defensive player quite often, if the others all "stick to their responsibilites". I pity that fool!

that was my thought too. Look for more big gains this week if we can just juke that first defender

Even Mike & Stephen require more than 1 guy to bring each of them down.....

I know some guys who have invisible balls, or maybe their wives just have them up on a shelf like mine does. :(

I'm just not scared of Fresno State's coach. I fear Coach Fran's plans more than their's. BTW we could lose this weekend, so be prepared for disappointment.

PS: NOT A PREDICTION. WE SHOULD WIN.

We could lose every weekend. Just ask Michigan. However, we are the stronger team and will dominate on Saturday.

I have a feeling that the train might be due...I'd like to see him punish more fools.

I just got the feeling the ball is going to get fed to him given the heat/atmosphere in an attempt to grind FSU to a pulp.

I do like that it's an early game.... The Texas heat could play a factor.... Texas Heat + J-Train = Long Day for defense....:gig:

It won't be the heat that gets them. The humidity will kill those California kids in the 2nd half.

My boss lives in San Jose and was a college football QB. He comes to Austin and can barely finish a round of golf in the summer b/c of the humidity!
