think that vatech can score that many points against LSU? Did y'all not see them play last week?

If vatech scores more than 7 points I will be surprised. They did not look good against ECU and they are playing against argueably one of the best defenses in the country in Death Valley. Good luck vatech in scoring a touchdown.

vtech is going down against LSU. They simply cannot play with them.

everyone on the contest has them scoring 10+ except for me.

I'm gonna call it right now..... The score will be somewhere around 24-14 or 21-17....

Mark it down.... And I think both Defenses will each score at least 1 TD.....

Don't forget that Va Tech's Special Teams is known to produce 1 TD or big play in Big Games....

If VaTech scores 14 points it will be off of 1 Defensive TD & 1 Special Teams TD.

I think Va Tech could score at least a FG or 1 TD because of their own Offense & 1 Legit Drive...

Their Offense isn't completely horrible.... and I don't see them throwing 6 or so INT's like MSU did against L$U....

I'd say 2 INT's each D, and L$U wins the sack battle.... neither team establishes a legit rushing attack & L$U wins simply because they have the better passing game... Better QB & Better WR's...

Va Tech's ST's keep it close....

i was going between 6 and 13. I went six, but I could see a TD somehow

watching lsu, i was not real impressed with the way they played against msu. yes, they did get 6 int's, but against a decent team or qb there is not way they get that many to's. i think this game will be a lot closer than some of you are thinking. jmo.

Vatech special teams was a non factor in that game last weekend. And the recievers didn't get open and the ECU defensive line owned vatech. Glennon won't even get a chance to throw them.

I'll bet you 5 :rep: 's.... that Va Tech scores 10 point on Offense alone... not counting Defense or Special Teams.....

and i'll throw in another bet of 3 :rep: 's that Glennon complete's 50% of his passes....

va tech looked like crap. Their first pass of the season wan an interception against a bad team. Im also SOOOOO sick of hearing about va tech. The announcer actually tried to say their qb was sad about the tragedy and thats why he played so horrible. BS. VA Tech has a decent defense, thats about it.

as far as holding them to under 10 points... i doubt it, but its very possible.

...and the only coach in football who looks like his school's mascot. I mean, seriously, tell me that when you see that ol' turkey neck on Beamer you don't immediately think neutered turkey.

After living in VA, I don't have any love for the castrated turkeys, but I do think that VTech was probably distracted by the hoopla resulting from the shooting and was looking past ECU. They'e better than they looked. Still overrated, though.

That said, LSU is gonna kill them. Especially at home.

if quarterbacks sucked because people at their school got shot Miami would NEVER have a good qb. its sucks that a bunch of people got shot at va tech, but it has nothing to do with football. i wish the media would shut up about it.

It was a campus wide tragedy and many look at sports as an avenue to heal an move on. Perfectly appropriate to dwell on it for the first game of the season.

So I guess you're tired oh hearing about the Bonfire Memorial and hearing about Nov 18th? and to an extent, yes i am. I thought that Granger Smith song was in poor taste, using a tragedy to make money. Like Allen Jackson / Tobey Keith. Tobey Keith is my favorite, he made his money off singing about what I did for a living. What a joke. Of course im not saying we shouldnt remember it, it was a horrible thing, but why does the media have to focus on it for the sake of football. I also dont give a crap about princess diana or michael vick.

Well I guess we just have a different perspective on life. I too spent a career in the military and absolutely loved "American Soldier". Both it and the "We Bleed Maroon" videos bring tears to my eyes, just like Lee Greenwood's "Proud to be an American" and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

Sports are not a stand alone event. They are woven into our day to day lives and therefore can't and shouldn't be seperated from life in general. That's why when people like Michael Vick or Pete Rose screw up in their personal lives, it affects their sports lives also.
