Anyone picking this game up today? I'm about to go track one down for my Wii. I'm way more excited about this game than or Madden or any other game. This year's version looks extra sweet.

I'm very curious to see how easy it is to upload your pic into the game and animate yourself.

Bought it today during lunch, took it home and played 36 before coming back to the office. So far, the game is very cool. Not too hard if you play as Tiger, but quite a bit more difficult if you create a profile.

I haven't played a Tiger Woods game in a long time, so I can't tell you everything that is new, but there are definitely so new game modes. The best thing about is (for the Wii) is that you actually have to do a full golf swing. It is sensitive enough that it will slice, hook, etc based on how you actually swing. That aspect of it is very realistic.

now that is cool, you may have talked me into getting a wii just to play golf and work on my game.... what are the graphics like on the wii for tiger woods 08, how close does it compare to ps2?

I would say that it is about the same as a PS2 or slightly better, but not as good as a PS3.

its definitely better than ps2, hell gamecube was better than ps2 in the graphics dept.

I will probably pick it up this weekend for my 360. That is if I have any time between dove hunting and A&M football.

After playing it yesterday, I think that the Wii version will actually help you game some. Over the course of the last year, I have somehow picked up a little fade on my shots. Low and behold, when I play the game, I'm fading it a little. I'm having to tweak my swing a little bit to get the draw back. I'm very curious to see if this helps my real golf game.
