Seems like Stoops has gone with Sam Bradford....

If he goes all 4 years as the starter... he could be a serious pain in the arse in his Junior & Senior seasons..

I'm a bit surprised that Joey Halzle didn't get the job. Paul Thompson was given the starting role (initially) over Rhett Bomar 2 years ago, despite the fact that Bomar was supposed to be the future of the team. For Stoops to go with the freshman, he must be doing really well.

I think this is more a case of "less bad." All the video and press out of Norman is that none of the QBs were blowing anybody away.

I've heard alot of the same on both Rivals & Scout.... neither site has had anyone do an interview that is just blown away by either QB.....

Joey Halzle is a senior right?
I guess they figured Bradford is the better play since he has more time to improve

If this is a case of "less bad", then why are many picking them to win the south. It is odd to me they would be regarded that highly without some stability at the QB position.

Because they won it last year with a crappy QB. And I'm pretty sure that Halzle (or however you spell it) is a junior this year.
