Football officials did not set a timetable for Sweed's recovery. That timetable could be anywhere from days to months depending on the severity of the sprain.

Sweed is the second Texas wide receiver to suffer a summer injury. FL Jordan Shipley has been limited since the beginning of August camp due to a hamstring injury.

And this is the team picked to win the Big XII.... Colt must be so damn good that he can throw it to himself, & cover the other Teams WR's & block for himself..... :bored:

I just gotta ask this...

Yesterday the local t-sip homer on the radio station here in SA was pissed that tu was ranked #8 in the SI.com poll.... Not to mention the day before he was pissed that Colt was not on the CBSSportsline.com Heisman lists....

But lets look at these things...

1) New O'Line (not even considered one of the 5 best in the Big XII....
2) New 2ndary (Starting a bunch of guys who weren't good enough to beat out a group of guys who were ranked 115 or something like that... At least A&M's 2ndary wasn't a bunch of Seniors when they were scorched... They were underclassmen)
3) Iowa almost & should have beat texas in the Alamo Bowl.
4) Sweed & Shipley are both injured (Granted they happened after most rankings took place, but still)
5) Their running game is suspect at best. (Mack wont be running out of the I formation & is hell bent on trying to get Colt running & doing some things like VY)


I am sorry, but when your WR's are hurt, RB is overrated, 2ndary is suspect & Your O'Line is unproven.... I don't see how they are picked to win the Big XII....

I almost feel sorry for Jordan Shipley. Maybe its just karma....should've followed Steve. Whatever it is, kid has been hurt from the time he stepped on campus.

TCU will not be going to the Fiesta Bowl. They win a lot of games that they shouldn't win, but then they always manage to screw it up at the end of the year & lose a game they shouldn't.

Also, I think based on what they have/lost/return they should be ranked about 12
