Good to hear. I had been worried about DT depth, but if Tufuga can contribute and/or if Patterson can make the switch, then it's a pretty good group, I think.

I am sure it has been posted before, but what are his stats (ht, wt, speed)? Also I know we will know more after he has been through a few practices, but will he challenge for a starting position?

I doubt he will get starting consideration right off the bat....
Fran has been quoted, saying that his time will be limited in September, and he wont see serious time on the field until October....

No one needs Tufuga to start. We just need him to add depth at the DT position.

Where did you hear that? Though it does make sense.

DT depth is key...our most vulnerable position to lack of depth.

NEWCOMER TO WATCH
Coach Franchione has high hopes for DL David Tofuga. The 6-foot-1 sophomore transfer from Snow College could make the earliest impact this season out of the new players because of his strength and experience. Franchione said he will be limited some through September but could be ready to make an impact as early as October.
