You guys are ridiculus. I'm not even going to argue the insanity of this post. In anycase, I'm glad to hear those guys doing well for the Rockets.

When Steve Francis is starting, and veteran Mike James is also vying for playing time, we'll see how much Brooks can help us. I'm glad he's turning into a good player, but that still doesn't change the fact that a PG was the last thing we needed in this draft.

Steve was not a Rocket when we drafted Brooks, and there is nothing wrong with drafting what you feel is the best available player in the draft...this goes past just this year. The Rockets were a decent power forward away from advancing last year. We have the power forward now (I assume they were new it was a good possiblity they could land him before or during the draft). Why not draft Brooks??? I think he will be a very productive impact player in the future (ie after this year)

Sure, we didn't have Francis at the time. We did, however, have Rafer Alston, Mike James, Vanillis (sp?) Spanoulis, and John Lucas III.
Also, the Rockets were probably the only team in the NBA who thought that Brooks was the best available player left, with Tiago Splitter, Arron Afflalo, Alando Tucker, Nick Fazekas, Glen Davis, Reyshawn Terry, Josh McRoberts and Marc Gasol still on the board.

I was really hoping Acie would go to Houston, but I am glad to see him doing well.
