The NBA declares an age minimum of 19 or 1 year out of high school, and Europeans sign a 9 year old.

He added that the club sign about 40 players of Davis's age every year and, as is standard, will decide annually whether to renew his contract or release him.

things don't work over there like they do here. They don't have serious high school or college teams. Everything is club over there. And the best clubs have youth teams that they pay to develop

I'll admit he's good, but I've seen young basketball players school kids their own age just like that over here.

true, and if they were in europe those same kids would get signed to a club team instead of playing for their local jr. high or highschool

I agre with the fact that they have club teams. That is what I experienced when I lived overseas.

But what is next, drafting the new born of 2 superstar athletes.

Didn't someone offer millions of dollars to Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf for them to have a child and give it away? I think this was before they got marrried.

There is no "draft"...the kid just signs a contract with the team
