Saying mack is here to win and has to take questionable people etc... It's pretty funny. A tu fan did just call and say it all started with Cedric Bensons

Wow, and that's supposed to make you feel better as a fan? Has somebody said, "not all good athletes have questionable character..."

Lots of championship teams have done well without people holding people at gun point.

Yeah you can tell some of the fans are fed up with it.

I think the fans, and the university, should be fed up with it. Can you imagine how you would feel if this was happening to us? I think we would be calling for some serious changes, not just saying that is what we need to do to win.

I liked the Cedric Benson correlation he had. Ced shows up and people start getting pulled over with their cousins weed and kicking in doors.

I think it started with Ricky Williams.....its not like Ricky showed up in Austin & then decided to start smoking grass non-stop.

Maybe he saw the people in Austin and decided he had to do something?

Aggie1997,

Perhaps you were asleep through 2003-4, because this DID happen to us. We had a period of time there where we had a steady stream of guys in trouble with the law, including Adams and Mayes dealing drugs. It was humiliating and depressing. I almost feel sorry for the few standup sips that I know, because I know this has to be making them want to puke. Then I think about all of the other a**clowns wearing tu gear and I get over the urge to feel sympathetic.

92,

Please don't tell me that you are comparing holding people up at gunpoint, slinging crack rock, & beating the ever-living **** out of people to selling a little grass. What is going on in Austin right now is beginning to remind me of OU during the Switzer days & the only thing that has come close to doing that was FSU during the 90s.

If you want to talk quanity of arrest, then yes, we DID have it happen to us. But if you are talking to severity of the crimes, there is no comparison.
