Selig is an idiot. I have never really like the guy and think he is one of the worst baseball commisioner ever. He let the steriod era happen and made the all star game "count." Those are both bad, but what he said yesterday is beyond idiotic.
Until recently, Selig had been undecided on whether to be present when the record falls. But Wednesday marked the eighth Giants game he has attended.
"Depending on the weekend, we'll be up to 11, so I don't think there's anybody that can say that I haven't made a Herculean effort,'' he said. "In fact, I've been having a lot of people who are stunned that I'm still at this.''
Congrats Bud, you are such a hero for attending 8 baseball games in a row, flying to them on a private jet, watching them from the owner's box, and spending the night in 5 star hotels. That must be freaking rough. I'm sure he is wishing that he could have that statement back.
