I heard some interesting stuff about the new rules being put in place by Miami's new coach in order to get and keep control of his team. The biggest is if a player has below a 2.5 GPR, he is required to live on campus, no exceptions. If his GPR is above 2.5 and he lives off campus, but his grades drop back to lower than 2.5, he must immediately move back to campus. I thought this was an interesting rule.
Thoughts?

that shouldnt even be an issue- you know how easy those guys have it with tutors and gfs helping every step of the way

Interesting, but not sure how much of a difference it would make (other than motivating them not to lower their GPR)

I understand it is going to come back to the head coach if a student athlete fails out, but I have to agree with Curly that it should never happen. The athletes have plenty of resources available to them for assistance.

Thats probably not something that should be posted on a public message board....while it may be understood....some things are better left unsaid.

a little help as in tutoring or something is completely different than not doing your own work.

well, they need SOME sort of institutional control down there...this is a good start in the right direction.
