Celtics give up Al Jefferson, Gerald Green, Theo Ratliff and a draft pick for KG. This strips away Boston's future, but having KG, Pierce and Ray Allen on the same team should immediately make them a contender in the East.

Yeah, with the lack of size in the East, Boston is now one of the top 2-3 teams. They're better than Cleveland, Miami on a good day could still beat them. New Jersey is probably equal, but Kidd, Jefferson and Carter are getting old.

yea well its a good and bad trade....... they don't have a proven PG which KG likes.

Good because KG is a leader and can provide points and wins.

The Lack of a TRUE PG will kill em in the playoffs.....

It will be interesting to see who else Boston picks up before the season. They really need a true center to complete the package.

Boston will at least play in the Eastern conference finals next year. All three of their stars know that their chances for a ring are diminishing quickly. I look for all three to have monster years next year.

This seems very similar to the Rockets when they traded some players to get Barkley and had Drexler and Hakeem. Even though Drexler and Hakeem already had rings, getting the three superstars together rejuvenated them for a short time and all had superior years the first year they played together.

Better than Miami and Cleveland, but equal to the Nets? Cleveland and Miami are much better than the Nets. Detroit is much better than the Nets. The Bulls are better than the Nets.
