So that makes around 9 arrested this summer?
Quote of the century:
"We're aware of Sergio's situation and are disappointed anytime one of our players is accused of wrongdoing,'' Texas head coach Mack Brown said in a statement. "We take a strong stance against drinking and driving and will thoroughly investigate this situation.''
Strong stance? HAHA! Yea right.

By "strong stance," Mack means that he'll suspend him for a non-conference game. If it was a walk-on, Mack would kick him off the team, brag about how classy their program is and how crime isn't tolerated.

I'm surprised he was arrested in Austin and it made the news. Usually stuff like this flies under the radar for Texas.
Nothing will happen to him though, just like all the other players.

I saw it on the 6AM news while reading the paper. I knew right then mack would just hit him with a slap on the wrist.

Well... Rice did put up a fight for the 1st 3:07 of their game last year....I heard the game was closer than what the final score said....;)

I still say they should just make him run some extra wind sprints since he wasn't caught with weed. I am sure Mack feels this is a step in the right direction and things are improving.

Somebody post something when they actually say what's going to happen to him.

I find it very funny that went Robert Joseph, their backup DB got arrested, he was immediately kicked off the team before he was even found guilty. Now that a starter is arrested, Mack is dissapointed that he was ACCUSED. Also in his statement, Mack said that they will decide on his future AFTER the legal process has been completed.
Translation: You'll never hear about this again.

Y'all keep saying how shocked you are to actually see this make the news and how surprising it is that he didn't have somebody else's weed on him at the time. How do you know he didn't? By now, we are all obviously aware of the way the APD treats these things. So if what made the news was drunk driving, I think we can all safely assume that he actually broke into somebody's appartment, stole their weed, drank their alcohol, took their flat screen tv and put it in the back of his loaner Lexus and drove off drunk with a friend's gun in his lap.
So naturally, he is being charged with drunk driving...
