I am thinking about starting a flag football team in CS to play in the fall league.
If there are any takers who wants to play or interested in more info, email me at johnstobie@gmail.com
Thanks.

8v8 according to the website.... and you can have up to 20 people on a roster so even those that couldnt make all of the games could be on the roster. and with even 15 people each persons cut is 25 bucks.
Just wondering but stobie do you know if you can get sponsors? and have t****s made up and reduce that cost even more? might be something to consider. either way you will need atleast 10 people to even think about making a team.... gotta have a few alternates.

I want to say yes... but here is the info from the link...
This program provides adults with an organized flag football league. Teams can advance to the T.A.A.F. State Flag Football tournament if they qualify. All adults ages 16 years old and up may participate in this program. All games are held at the Central Park (http://www.cstx.gov/home/index.asp?page=526).
Approximately 180 - 200 adults participate in this program each year. The season is played during the months of September, October, and November. Each team plays an 8-game round robin format with a double elimination tournament at the end of the season. T-shirts are provided to the divisional champions, and one team trophy is awarded to approximately every six teams per tournament. There is a fee for this program. These fees change periodically, so please check the registration form for the most up-to-date information. If you need further information or you would like to be placed on the free agent list Contact Us (http://www.cstx.gov/home/index.asp?page=574).

I would be interested. More than likely I would be a bench warmer since I am already 35, but I would be good for a couple of plays here and there.

I play here in Burnet and its almost the same type of league. I'm 30 and have no problems beating young cats deep on fly routes. Also I play a mean lock down CB on defense. My team is call the Wrecking Crew and we have finished 1st the last 2 years and runner up the year before that.

The team name could be Aggie Fans.... I dont think that would be a bad idea... as long as members of Aggie Fans are more than 50% of the roster, they are the majority of the team... and if enough money is raised.... could even have actualy somewhat jersey tops....

8v8 is what we play here on Lackland.... That shyt is fun.... I'm coaching now for my 6th year straight... Won 1 Base Chip & have been in the Final 4, 3 of the other 5 years.. and made the playoffs every year!!!! :gig:
While the offence can be suspect from time to time.. our Defense is a LOCK DOWN defense.... every year we are 1st or 2nd in points allowed.....:gig:
How many teams are in your league.... on LAFB we usually have 25 to 30 teams playing.... This year there are 27 teams in the league.....

No idea on teams they havent registered yet. Also priced out the flags and looking at about 120 for 24 flag sets... you can get 2 diff colors... have 4 extra of each color because of wear and tear.

I'm pretty much in whenever it's a weekend game and not on gameday (unless somebody wants to supply me with a place to shower). :)
