Unfortunately, it's time for me to sell my motorcycle. This bike has treated me very well since I bought it, but graduation is forcing me to sell it.

it is a first offer though.... its not a horrible first offer. do a counter offer and see if he goes for it.

oh i agree, that was my plan. I have a target price that I won't go below, just surprised that his first was so low. I'm new to negotiation as well

usually you price something & have about a 10-20% cushion for negotiation.

if the person who offered is a friend, I'd let them know that price (the firm price) and be done with it...if they're Joe Stranger...I'd counter-w/ the asking price & see what they can do.

usually they offer less in hopes of paying less, but if the bike weren't in their price range (at asking price) it wouldn't have caught their eye...

$600 is pretty immaterial (on both ends) & being that this is your first offer, you're really not inclined to do anything...and nor should you have to.

I'm just kidding ya. I hope you get it sold. It's a really nice bike. Too bad I'm not in a position to buy it from you or I would.

yeah, i knew what you meant. and yes, it's a great bike. I love it :gig:

this seems to be the common theme though. I've had about ten people tell me how great of a deal the bike is, how it's in great condition and how fun it is, but only about two considering the pull of the trigger. It's going to be nice to get it sold eventually

I haven't been able to show my bike since I've been pretty busy, but there's a guy coming in today to look at it. I'm gonna miss it if it sells:(
