Posting this for a buddy:
Howdy!
I’ve got at 1988 Nitro 17.5’ Fish/Ski with a Yamaha Pro V 150 I would like to sell. This is the last year Nitros were made in Longview. I’ve had the boat since 2003 and I’ve never had any problems out of it. The boat runs great it just looks a little rough. Like all 2 strokes it’s a little cold starting at the ramp but once you get it warmed up it will start every time. I hate to sell it but since I’ve gone back to school I haven’t had much time to use it.
The boat is in College Station
I got the boat from my old boss. At that point it had sat for a couple years so I had the boat disassembled and the stringers, floors and decks, and carpet replaced. I also had the carbs cleaned and adjusted, the lower unit oil changed, some rubber lines replaced, and a new water pump installed. I also installed a new trolling motor and depth finder.
The boat has:
-150 horsepower Yamaha outboard
-67 lb thrust Motorguide trolling motor (foot control), 12/24 volt, 5 speed
-Lowrance X47 Fish/Depth finder
-Front and rear live wells
-1, 12 volt cranking/trim battery
-2, 12 volt deep cycle Exide Orbital tolling batteries (2 months old)
-Power trim
-Hydraulic steering
-Ski pole
-Ladder
-General fishing supplies (elevated fishing seats, markers, landing net, anchors, etc.)
-Trailer with newer tires and spare (2004)
The boat also comes with a tube, tubing rope, wooden skis, ski ropes, and 4 type II life vests and whatever else I have that goes with the boat.
The bad. Since the boat sat out uncovered for a couple years the gel coat on the top side of the boat is worn off so the top of the boat isn’t shiny anymore and it’s a little faded. The tachometer, trim indicator, oil warning light, and water pressure gauge work but the speedometer and fuel gauge do not. The boat hasn’t been abused but it does have some scratches and the prop has some nicks.
Hopefully my friend will be able to post the pictures below.
NADA lists the low retail for the boat as $2,570 and low retail for the motor at $710.
I’m asking $2,700. If you’re interested please contact me at:
