The logo is only stamped on it because it's hotlinked from our gallery. The logo says, "HOSTED BY AGGIEFANS.COM" -- not made by or property of Aggiefans.com

I understand your point, but if they're not in our gallery, they get lost. We're doing everybody a service (on our site at least) so that the pictures don't get removed due to bandwidth issues. Look at the websider link I just posted. Those pics got taken down from Imageshack(for unknown reasons), but they would otherwise be lost if we don't have them in the gallery.

If you can show me where we're using your pics as ours, I'll gladly remove them. We're not trying to step on any toes or mislead anybody, we're just trying to make sure Aggie fans can see what's going on.

I think the confusion is he thinks our "gallery" is like Texags' gallery. @ Texags, they have taken and own all the pictures. Our gallery is more of a hosting service for members and the site and we make no claims to own any pictures in there. We have a watermark that shows up on the bottom right when you hotlink it that says, "HOSTED BY AGGIEFANS.COM" to discourage hotlinking and using our bandwidth. I believe he thinks our watermark is indicating ownership in the source of the picture, which it does not.

And to Donger's point, if you read all the Websider thread, apparently this started off in Texags' premium boards. It was then leaked to their general board. It was deleted promptly, but not before he was able to save a copy. He then posted it on Websider.com's free board where Jagowar saw it yesterday.

As stated before and 100 other times on the site. We don't do things "shady" around here and we'll always try to do the right thing. If you don't think so or have problems, bring it up and we'll work with you. I'm going to leave the pictures in the gallery up for another hour or so in order to prove we're not pulling them for any reason other than they're not "real" and no need to use our drive space hosting them.

as vly said you dont understand what our gallery is for.... as i cited i got the pics from websider (even put the source link). and people complained the pics were gone from imageshack for whatever reason (i assumed bw overuse actually). I happen to have them in my cache still and was able to upload them to our gallery.

And with every other picture in our gallery it gets a watermark so people know where the bw is coming from. Also why it says HOSTED by aggiefans and not copyrighted by aggiefans or something that would be lying. We actually let our paid posters post pictures in the gallery so its one of the things we do to all of the pictures.

And im sure texags has never had any photos posted that were not taken by the owner.... If asked we have no problem taking them down and do our best to cite pictures taken but in this case there was no source to cite so i cited websider.

Wow you can't read can you? They say hosted by AggieFans.com.... so that means, if they are on the AggieFans.com server then they have the right to say, Hey look where I am at. Come see me, If you dont want the picture to have that logo, dont upload to the gallery! Geez... rookies!
