Per a level 2 source, two starting offensive players were arrested early this morning on a slew of charges that are related to alcohol and drugs. The story should be surfacing within the next day or so. I have the names, but will not post them due to privacy reasons (and it should be in the paper in no time). Lets circle the wagons ags.

Pretty good... If you look at it it's sandwiched between a level 1 and 3 source.

Sorry but I want to see the report in the news. Until then this thread needs a [rumor] tag on it.

BTW, considering that this was your first post, if your story turns out to be true, you have some serious instant credibility on this site. If nothing happens, well then....
No offense, but I'm hoping you lose all credibility! :)

Why circle the wagons? We call out blow u and tu for having a bunch of criminals on the their teams. If we circle the wagons around guys on our team who are doing drugs or committing other crimes, doesn't that make us as bad as them? Or at least hypocrits? Or are we only upset when tu and ou do it because their AD does a better job of getting charges dropped and stories stuffed?

so he got arrested for driving with an invalid license...... not that big of a deal. anyone know what the previous conviction was that led to him getting his license suspended?
driving while liscense invalid isn't exactly "a slew of charges that are related to alcohol and drugs."
and it's only one person not two. and gbunblee isn't a starter.
other than that this rumor is doing fine.

I would assume the previous conviction was for the same offense.

Agreed! Hold standards of character and that will build a team of champions, not always a championship team but one you can be proud of any day of the week!

J-Train and Acie Law were arrested on the same offense before. It's not too serious.

i dont have a problem with him posting info when he hears it as long as it's clearly marked as a rumor. Stay a while. I'm sure you can't be worse than some of the posters we have here
1. what is a level 2 source?
2. why post this crap when you know the details and NOT post the details. just don't post anything at all.
3. welcome to the board...i hope your stay is short.
I'd be interested to know what a level 2 source is as well. I wonder if Hop would know anything about this.
BTW. It seem like a lot of Aggie athletes are arrested for driving while their license is invalid. That seems like something that the staff should stay on top of.

I know you guys are trying to be funny, but he may have been led to believe that this was going down. He didn't post names (to protect the players in case it didn't go down like he was told), but I don't want to discourage other posters from posting "breaking news" if they find out something. It was properly labeled with a rumor tag...
The Massacre
06-26-2007, 09:37 PM
actually, i think Jag added the rumor tag, not the original poster. the original poster was pretty sure this DID happen and didn't make comments indicating it was only a rumor.
and i don't think he held off on the name posting to protect people if it didn't really happen. he just didn't want to give them out before the paper, i think.

can a Aggie football player claim libel? Celebrities can't claim libel because they are just that celebrities ie public figures. You could consider an Aggie football player a celebrity.
