Yeah that was way too close for comfort. A Fran fan or not, Reggie needs to get the chair for that little stunt.

Clearly many of you have not been to San Antonio. Then it would make perfect sense. I'm just saying the odds of making it in and out of San Antonio without terminal injury are pretty low and Coach Fran chose to tough it out and do Coaches Night for the A&M Club there.
But word is he made it out ok.

All the thugs that would be wanting to kill Fran are still passed out on the River walk from yesterday's Spurs party.

as long as you aren't walking down the street with pork tamales taped all over your clothes, you are pretty safe in san antonio. i would say the crime is on par with anywhere else.

WTF are you talking about? Austin has the lowest crime rate of any of the major cities in Texas. It smashes San Antonio, Dallas, and Houston.
For every 100,000 people living in Austin, there were 346 violent crimes, 2.9 murders, and 35 rapes.
For San Antonio, there were 514.6 violent crimes, 5.7 murders, and 42 rapes.
For Dallas, there were 550.8 violent crimes, 6.8 murders, and 34.2 rapes.
For Houston, there were 712 violent crimes, 9.1 murders, and 35.8 rapes.
Congrats to San Antonio for being the rape capital of Texas.

Did someone really think Austin had the highest crime rate??:laugh: That is one of the safest major cities to live in in the nation. Not to mention they have cobwebs forming on some of the hoselines in their fire apparatuses.
They have the most boring evening news broadcast ever. It's like, "Well, reporting on sixth street for another new bar opening up...."
Where in SA the news is more like, "5 people shot in the west side and firefighters put out two house fires in the middle of the night"

Wade is exactly right. The Austin news sucks to watch (which is a good thing, I guess). I love going back home to Houston and watching the evening news there. It takes them 30 minutes to get through all the stories about the murders from that day. Austin might have 1 or 2 murders a week.

didn't the car hit a kid or something?

Yes, a man accidentally hit a kid (who was barely injured). A mob of people went after the driver. A bystander saw what was going on and tried to help the driver. That is when the mob turned on that guy and killed him. The driver got away uninjured. The freaking mob was acting like the driver of the car hit the kid on purpose, which of course was not the case.
