Looks like yet another candidate has entered the race for Mother of the year.
Police in northwest Georgia have rescued a boy from a hot car where his mother's companion is accused of tying him up.
Ringgold, Georgia, police say a Cracker Barrel restaurant employee called police after seeing Raymond Minchew take the 6-year-old out of the restaurant and return without him -- then finished eating his meal. Ringgold is about 13 miles southeast of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Police found the bound boy sitting in the car, crying.
Sergeant John Gass says the child was soaked with sweat and had a rope tied to one of his ankles.

And is it any wonder why when this kid grows up, he will not understand why abuse and/or violence is wrong.

Nice that the 35 year old mom has a 61 year old "companion."

I do. Makes me feel like a better parent (and gives me ideas on what to do if my boy acts up in a restaurant!).
I wish I didn't find stories like this, but they are on the main page of www.cnn.com (http://www.cnn.com) just about every week.

I haven't been there in many years, but I didn't remember the food being too bad.

well, i have only been to the one in my hometown (but i have been there numerous times back in the day), so it is quite possible the food sucked in that particular restaurant and not every cracker barrel, but that one ruined it for me for the rest of them.
