ESPN says nothing about this
It does say:
Due to the paucity of an available impact hitter and the high asking prices for some players, it appears the Astros' best strategy for making a deal could center on a relief pitcher. The Astros would like to bolster their bullpen by adding an experienced left-hander. Scott Eyre, who is 2-1 with a 2.53 ERA with the Giants, and Ron Villone, who is 2-3 with a 2.33 ERA for the Mariners, are two possibilities.

Soriano will not get traded to Houston. Burke is the 2nd baseman of the future for Houston.

Good link on the rumor. I can't believe that all of the sudden, the Mets have a bottomless pocketbook. Had they been willing to spend money in the past like they have this year, maybe they would have played second fiddle to the Yankees for the last decade.

They did second fiddle and saved money doing it. Why did you want them to waste money?

I'm thinking he meant "wouldn't have".

I would not take Cameron in a deal for Soriano.
We already have an OF that hits for a sh-tty avg, but can pop some HRs and has a good arm. Cameron can steal a few more bases than Hidalgo, but I don't want him.
