Major high-tech company with a world-class facility in the Austin, TX area, has an exceptional opportunity for an individual to be responsible for controlling costs and assets at the site.
With an emphasis on inventory controls, product cost analysis and process improvement, you will collaborate with site management to control costs, develop product cost modeling, ensure standard costs are accurate and cost allocation methodologies support the business structure, and maintain appropriate controls over all assets. In addition, you will prepare factory utilization and capacity analysis, work with the Site Finance Manager to address the efficiency of factory processes/controls, resolve issues regarding inventory, scrap and cycle counts, review monthly financial results, and work with functional managers drive accountability, and optimize future spending.
To qualify, you must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred), and at least 5 years of directly related cost accounting experience. Strong knowledge of business theory and principles is essential, as are PC proficiency with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and excellent analytical and oral/written communication skills. Exposure to the semiconductor industry and proficiency with Oracle GL, cost, and inventory modules are preferred.
