A&M-Fresno State start time switched
Eagle Staff Report

Texas A&M's home football game against Fresno State on Sept. 8 has been switched to a 2:30 p.m. kickoff for broadcast on Fox Sports Net.
The Big 12 announced the time along with the league's new agreement with VERSUS television network Wednesday.
A&M's game against Fresno State originally was scheduled for 6 p.m.

Does anyone know what the VERSUS agreement states? Will football be on this network this year or in the future?

I hate afternoon games in September. It is always scorching hot.

All the people complaining about 230 games is really annoying. This was done all the time when i was in school and nobody really complained. DRINK WATER and QUIT WHINING about it.

I also like it because coming from the central valley of California the fresno players are going to be shocked at the weather here. It may be hot in the summer there, but nothing compares to the humidity here when you aren't used to it.

heck yah, it is going to be a huge difference between a 2:30 summer day there and a 2:30 summer day in College Station.

BTHO fresno state!! WHOOP!!

Its going to be hotter than hell & that sucks, but there is also lots of upside!

My seats are always in the shade!

The game will be over by 6:30, so that leaves a good 12 hours of celebrating the Ags win!

And, it'll be on TV for those of you that can't make it!

The earlier the games, the better for me. Less time on Saturday's watching the clock to see how much longer until kickoff.

I guess the major upside is that my mother can start watching my son 4 hours earlier so I can go to the Chicken!!! :gig:

Hot, but TV is good for the program.

i like the atmosphere better at the night games... it's still good at day games, but not as electric

definitely more electric at night...day games are hard to yell hard for when the 3rd and 4th quarters roll around

Wuss...you're just out of practice. :)

Come football season you'll be able to do it...I wish everybody yelled every play, but Kyle's seem to have lost that "mystique"...now we have a bunch of lazy fans.

i disagree... they're not lazy... they're just not as excited because we haven't done anything special in a long time

Worst thing you could've ever said!!! :(

So, Aggies have become fair weather fans! I never thought I would live to see the day! The 12th Man wasn't born because we were a good team. That tradition has survived through many years of bad football! It's official...OLD ARMY IS DEAD!!!

We keep buying our season tickets & cheering on our team as the cost has gone through even though the team hasn't met standards!

If momentum and the quality of the team and what was happening on said team and field didn't matter then why is it louder on 3rd and long than on first and ten when we're down 17 with two minutes left in the 4th?

I think any football game is better at night....more time to get people to the game at liesurely pace, more alcohol for tailgaters, not as much heat early in the season...its just all around better.

I just don't think they should allow games to start before 6:00 when playing in the south durring the summer heat. I could care less about the fans, it's not good for the players.

I'm amazed at the numbers of people who show up for games in skimpy clothes and no hats, drink nothing but sodas, and then wonder why they get over heated at the games. I always were a light weight pair of light colored trousers and a full brimmed straw hat (with and A&M headband of course). I would prefer to wear a light colored shirt, but being an Aggie, I always wear maroon and that does get hot. My wife and I bring about a gallon of water apiece to the game as well as fans.

I think the university should at least try a "white out" game for the afternoon Sept games and see how fans liked it. It would be safer and would look badass.
