I know its early but I was thinking about which NFL teams would have a interest in Jovroskie Lane. Though hes a great RB, because of his running style and size he may not be taken as quickly as many think. Heres a short list of the teams I think.
Pitt
Denver
NYG
Houston
TENN

Tenn could very well take a chance on him if White doesn't bounce back & contribute the way they wanted him to.... White barely made it out of Training Camp & rarely saw the field because of his poor performance....

I think all your teams (except Tenn) would be good fits for him. The Titans need a Michael Goodson type back to compliment VY.

Pitt should feel comfortable with Lane. They are used to running an offense with a big bruising back (the Bus).

White may not be there much longer
I think they will try to groom him up and get some good production then cut ties with him.
Hes been nothing but problems and issues since day 1

What will actually help him (given he proves weight isn't an issue) is that teams are going to more single back formations.
He's proven he can run without a full back, from the shotgun...plus he also has sweet hands which will help a ton...and he can block.
Conditioning/weight perception is his biggest hurdle.

I was thinking alot of pass happy teams would be interested in Lane aswell. They would use him for blocking, since he is so big, and can block pretty well.
I could see him in Indy. Plugging up holes or going into the flats to catch a pass and keeping the D honest

Every team in the league could use him.

I don't think he'd fit well in the Bills system (unless he moved to FB). Traditionally the Bills don't have big backs or the grind it out type offense... I think that's key.

Hey J-.... slip in this in your burger & give it back once we get to the room... Lol....

If he cannot help lead this Texas A&M team to a championship, he will not be in the NFL. Our recent records on draft day have shown how much "draft weight" we pull...no pun intended.

you mean our ability to get players drafted from teams that had little to no success during the season?

If Michael Bush can get drafted after missing a full year... J-Train can get drafted without a Championship... But I think he will leave with one... Be it Big XII or National...

Disagree, how much Fran decides to give J-Train the ball will reflect directly on Fran. A 275-pound power back with tremendous balance and quickness (plus a decent blocker) will get drafted. He is not Toombs. He is something more...

If he doesn't start making more of an effort to keep the weight off & stay in shape, he won't get drafted....PERIOD!!!

For J-Train, 275 is in shape.

Loftin, he is 275 because he got sick & lost weight. He played in the Holiday Bowl at 310+! He works hard in practice & in the weight room but he also does nothing outside of practice to watch his weight. That lack of committment will kill him with The League!

:bored: Oh geez... Fran gets pissed at him for 1 game all of a sudden it's all about Fran... :bored:
Lane does no wrong..... :bored: Get over it dude..... So Fran kept him out of 1 post-game pressconference... Geez.....
Lane will get drafted... plain and simple... because of or despite Fran.... Getting drafted has little to do with your Coach & more to do with your ability....
That's why so many Non-BCS guys get drafted & why certain D-2 guys get drafted...

Side Note: A good example of how the NFL looks at the Player, his work ethic, & what they offer as a whole package despite their coach is DeMarcus Ware....
Kid played at freaking Troy & is now an NFL Stud.....
If Lane has what it takes.. he'll make it, plain & simple... it's on him to be disciplined & on him to eat right & on him to work out & on him to perform when he gets his chances....

300 maybe, but 310 is stretching it.
Also, I used to work at an eating establishment in B/CS, and I can tell you that J-Train ordered a much healthier meal than 80% of people who come in. His body is naturally that big. This is what makes him so special.

That was pretty much my point. Winning is directly related to getting J-Train the ball. If Fran doesn't get him the ball, we won't win any championships. That reflects on Fran and Fran only. I was saying that J-Train has already proven himself in games and that his physicality is too good for him not to get drafted.
Someone said that we had to win a championship for Train to get drafted, and I disputed that. The whole point of my post was that Fran has nothing to do with J-Train getting drafted.

I wouldn't go that far. I won't elaborate, but a coach's actions can and do have an effect on getting drafted.

Welll it doesn't have as much to do with a Coach if your a legit NFL Talent.... Obviously having a coach like Bowden, Carroll, or Stoops helps... but after them... it doesn't matter as much as people think.....
If he is the best RB in the Nation or Big XII like Loftin says, then Lane has nothing to worry about regardless of Fran.... Lane should be one of the Top 5 RB's taken in the Draft...
Fran not playing him a play here or a play there, wont affect Lane....
Lane will get his carries... 18 to 22 carries a game.... Probably not what Loftin wants, but there is Goodson who will also get 18 to 22 carries also.....
That's 36 to 44 rushing plays a game.... That's crucial for any Defense with those 2 guys....
Lane has been built up by the media every game A&M has played.... re-watch tape & the Media loves the guy... so he already has Hype around him...

Not enough hype, I've almost felt like the media downplays him. Almost all the good things you hear about him are during the game. Pre-game shows tend to go on and on about McGee and Goodson (and rightfully so), but it seems like they want to portray our best player (Lane) like a blip on the radar.

I could see Chicago Bears really liking him when Benson turns our flat.
Giants would be interested if Jacobs gets tired too easy.
Pit would absolutely love him.
Ravens would be happy with him.
Even though I like Caddy, Tampa/Gruden would like him.
No doubt Texans would like him.
I wonder how hard it would be to stop him on an icy Tundra in Green Bay?

I'm not saying he wasn't 310lbs in the Holiday Bowl, but how do you know that for a fact? Just curious

I didn't realize any of the aggies were really being "hyped" last season. I prefer it that way honestly.
Also, Lane is one of our best players. The best? Impossible to suggest. It's football

I think the Steelers would like J-train. I know that is a weak answer, but hey I'm not a huge NFL fan. I like NFL, I'm just not familiar with the dynamics of each club's needs.
