One of our safeties, Japhus Brown, did something deserving of notice. He and some of his past high school teammates in Edna, Texas, have put together a free clinic for kids in their hometown tomorrow.
Japhus joined Garry Roberts, a DB at Illinois State, and Adrian Robinson, who was a DB at Baylor and with the KC Chiefs to give their time and attention to youngsters in grades 3-12. The local Rotary Club got behind it as sponsor. What’s neat is that Japhus drew up the plan for this event as one of his class projects at A&M. There’s a nice article on it in the Victoria Advocate (http://www.thevictoriaadvocate.com/195/story/65099.html)newspaper.

Glad to see him giving back to the community.
(As I said on another thread)...he & "Winkie" (Adrian) are the biggest "celebs" in town other than Stone Cold (pro wrestler)...the kids really look up to them...
