This program is a disaster, and never seems to get their act together, their coach is a sleeze, and at least to me is seems adminisitration at the school is no better, what a joke CU has become. If ever the death penalty for a program was warranted, IMHO CU would be a prime candidate. I don't think that will ever happen again, the NCAA saw what it did to SMU and I don't think they will issue it again, but CU needs something done to them.

So basically they lied and got caught, man i agree, they deserve a one year death penallty, with the culmination of their escapades

The women, former student Lisa Simpson and another woman who has declined to be identified publicly, have asked Blackburn to reconsider his decision, arguing the university and its attorneys withheld information that would have supported their claims.
Lisa Simpson leading a court battle on Title IX, who would have thought. ;)

In my opinion, CU is showing some of the same attitude that SMU had when the investigation into them was going on. I am convinced that it wasn't the actions of SMU, but it's attitude of being above the law that got them the death penalty. If you ask me, Colorado is on dangerous ground and I think if they have any more NCAA violations that get publicity, then you will see the NCAA seriously and publicly consider a death penalty.

Ohio State would be my first candidate, football and basketball.

The problem with the Death Penalty is that the NCAA has taken note of what it did to SMU football. 20 years later, the program has never really recovered. Granted, if it happened to Ohio State or Colorado, they would probably recover fairly quickly. But the Death Penalty is not likely to be used again, except in the most extreme of cases. Ohio State and Colorado might very well put themselves squarely into the NCAA cross hairs.

Imo they need to get rid of Barnett asap. Hopefully the new administration comming in will realize how bad of an image the football program, namely Barnett is putting on the school as a whole. NCAA needs to pull the trigger.

I think its safe to say the the Death Penalty will never be used again. We've had boosters paying high school coaches six figures to get a kid to a certain school in the past. I just don't see it happening.

Dustin, you are probably right. Unless the school is someone like Florida International or some other small school-then it might happen.
