Portland got the number one pick and Seattle got the number two which means Kevin Durant will be exiled to the Pacific Northwest. Now I almost feel kind of sorry for him. Oh well! ;)

Oden looks like he could be the spokesperson for the weather there.... If Durant goes to Seattle that team could be sick... they've got some talent there.

I guess Stern just wanted to prove that the lottery was not rigged, so he rigged it to make it look like it wasn't rigged.
I guess the Celtics are banging their head against the wall right now.

With Atlanta having both the 3rd and 11th picks and desperately needing a point guard, I wonder if they will use their 11th pick and get Acie. Sure, he would be on a ****ty team, but he would be the starter from day 1.
nbadraft.net has Acie going 17th to New Jersey. collegehoops.net has him going 22nd to Charlotte. I wonder why he has dropped some. Anyone heard if he is not having good workouts?

If he really is getting closer to the Rockets that's good news.
Maybe with the lottery determined it just falls out that he won't be taken until later.

I was wondering last night if NJ would take yet another Aggie in the draft

not a major need for who? ATL... they have major needs just about every where
NJ? Kidd is declining... I could see them taking Acie and having him back up Kidd for a year then parting with Kidd aftewards.

PG isn't a major need in the league overall? :headslap: You've posted some crazy things on here in the past, but this one takes the cake!
On the thought of the Lottery being rigged, this proves that it IS rigged! Lose on purpose, start all the white guys on the team.....Fine....nice try Boston, Atl, Milwaukee....but NO SOUP FOR YOU!!!

Since Livingston is done and Sam Cassel is old, that would be a great fit for him (not to mention that he'd being playing with established veteran stars like Elton Brand and Corey Maggette).
As for Portland winning that lottery, they are about 2-3 years from being a serious contender. They drafted Brandon Roy and "The Marcus" last year, and now they'll add Oden or Durant to that roster.

:stupid: The basketball annalist last night on ESPN were talking draft last night. They SPECIFICALLY talked about how important the PG position was "it all starts at the point guard position" Though I wont take it that far, I will say this. There are some teams out there that rely SOLELY on PG play
What would the Suns do without Nash? NJ without Kidd? Ive heard over and over that the Lakers need a PG terribly bad.

my fault
I thought that was towards me. I think the point is very important and I see that you feel the same now
Tony Parker is our 2nd best player = PG
Jason Kidd best player on his team = PG
Nash/MVP = PG
Chauncy Billips = PG
all of these teams have gone VERY far into the playoffs or won world titles
