He was at a major league tryout in October of 2006, at which it was rumored that he was going to be signed by the New York Mets later that month. After the draft he said he would play baseball for a college in New Mexico.

Okay, I guess I have to explain my posts for you guys. That is a picture of Greg Oden, the FRESHMAN basketball player from tOSU. Danny Almonte was the kid in the little league world series a few years ago that turned out to be a lot older than he was allowed to be. My statement about Almonte was a joke, referring to Greg Oden. Man, I didn't think this thread would be too complicated.

P'Ville, Yes the Dammy Almonte quote had me rolling on the floor, but it still wasn't as funny as ZRF2002 giving everyone Almonte's bio. Even though he didnt know who was in the picture.

do you guys really think i am that big of an idiot???? of course i knew what your joke was intended to be and yes i did find it funny. when you mentioned danny in your first post, i had remembered hearing that danny was going to college to pitch...... so i figured i would look it up and found the bio on wiki. thought it was interesting so i posted it.
