Aggie Softball - Regional Championship

A&M lost to Houston yesterday, but beat Sam Houston in order to reach the Regional Championship (being played today). Houston came in as the undefeated team in this double-elimination round robin tournament.

So, with that, A&M has to beat Houston twice.

In game 1, they didn't just beat them, they killed them. The lady Ags won 13-2. This sets up a winner takes all game 3:30 vs Houston. The winner advances to the playoff section (single-elimination) of the bracket where they'll most likely face Florida (who beat Texas today).

The Ags won the second game 5-0, on a good pitching performance by Gibson.

Ags made it interesting but they pulled it off. Congrats Ladies!

They will play #13 Florida. Ags were the #4 National Seed.

Cosidering the Lady Ags lost to Houston badly yesterday 8-1, what they did today was pretty impressive. I like their chances too.
