Softball wins opener in NCAA Regional Opener

Sam Houston scored 5 runs in the top of the first (megan gibson got rocked and only pitched one inning)...Amanda Scarborough came in though and settled the Ags down. They proceeded to score 9 runs and win 9-5.

Houston won the first game against UL-Lafayette, so A&M will face them tomorrow at 12:00 PM. BTHO the Cougars! :towel:

Ags are currently down 2-0 in the bottom of the 3rd against Houston.

Puts us in a bad spot...we now have to play today at 5:30 vs either Sam Houston or ULL. Then, if we win, we have to win twice tomorrow against Houston.

The Aggies beat Sam Houston 11-0 today to advance to the championships.

We have to sweep a double-header vs Houston to win. The first game is at 1:00 and the second is at 3:30 (if needed).

We have to get out of the regionals or I think it'd be a disappointing end to the season. :(
