It's sad their record crowd is 16,600 set in 1981... They have 30,000 students at that school.

Considering A&M's lack of basketball tradition, that is sad.

You oughta see some of the other sketches that the poster that drew football stadium has done, particularly the baseball/softball complex. I don't think I recall fans at any other school taking the initiative to create a vision like this. Of course, Bobcatfans was probably bordering on a fan revolt before some changes were made in the athletic department.
I think you are witnessing the birth of a school that is starting to take more interest in its athletics in Texas State. It's very similar to what ya'll are going through with your basketball team, though ours may be due more to changes in the types of students we get (we're not treated as much like a backup school as we once were, so students have more pride). Once people start to believe, it gets contagious. I expect our football attendance to rise rapidly with success as your basketball team is starting to experience. Playing ya'll this fall will do wonders to get students around Texas State interested in attending the football games, especially if we make a respectable showing.
I won't argue that our game attendance is absolutely pathetic though. Twenty years of losing will do that.

Can you post them?
It seems like your school is going in the right direction ever since the name change.

The reason nobody elses school draws stadiums is because we dont dream of those things, we have them. Also we arent the "artsy" school, that would be your t.u. fans.

Well, at least someone over there came up with The Octogon. Heck, that could be a cool facility, if it ever came to fruition.

Give credit where it is due, that is a really nice design, probably around 50k seating. If they could just garner some support It would be nice. The biggest hurdle would be to get the kids to watch Bobcat sports and quit pretending to be sips.
