It is sad when these types of stories don't surprise you anymore. It is amazing how people can think this stuff is ok and that they will get away with it.
I think it's just the media following the same type of story. I bet this sort of thing happens pretty frequently it's just under reported until one story makes the news then you get a string of similar stories.

Not opening them either. Just being a recent uncle to the coolest 2 year old every time I see stuff like that I think of that stuff happening to her. I just can't even imagine the cruelity it takes to do stuff to an infant or 1 to 2 year old. People like that do not deserve to live.
That is the one thing I have a hard time with at work. I can help people mangled in car wrecks or burnt to a crisp and go right back to playing Guitar Hero 2 after but just one crying baby or youngster and I'm a wreck.

Same thing w/ my best bud, brother, bro in law, & father in law, who are all firemen...
They say after seeing the worst stuff in the world...what gets them most & really haunts them is the kids...
