The sips will be playing the 1st and 2nd round of the NCAA tourney at the Dell Diamond and in Corpus Christi b/c their crappy stadium is not finished being renovated. Therefore, there is not enough room for the press to cover the games in the tournament.

The remaining work will begin after Texas plays Texas A&M on May 19-20, forcing the Longhorns to go elsewhere for NCAA tournament play.

"We can't host a regional because our capacity would only be 5,000," Baker said. "We don't have enough seats, and we don't have the facilities. We don't have a place for the umpires. We don't have locker rooms."

Instead, Texas is bidding to host a regional at Dell Diamond in Round Rock and a super-regional in Corpus Christi. "We'll be ready to host at Disch-Falk in 2008," Baker said.
