Well... I dislike things equally in both states, but both states have equal beaches & equal entertainment....

gotta go with FL. in deciding between earthquakes and hurricanes, i have to go with the one that you can at least see coming.

used to live in FL and am going to Ft. Lauderdale next week.

Cali is nice (weather) but the people (in LA) are pretty pretentious and everything is fake...
SF is pretty ghey...
San Diego...they should be their own state...completely different. Cool place to be.

There is so much cool sh*t in Cali that I can overlook gheys and earthquakes. Besides they are all up north. Northern California is just cool to visit. I wouldn't want to live there.

Besides, I should love California since one day I'll end up owning my dad's phat house in San Diego.

Actually I wouldn't mind but as it turns out my career that I love is in San Antonio, Tx (who would have thunk it?) So I'll probably just sell it.

Doesn't matter because if I do that that means my dad is in the ground and I don't want that to ever happen. Besides he only looks like he's barely 40 and probably runs more a week then I do and I usually hit 30+ miles so I doubt he's going anytime soon.

Florida hands down. I travel to Cali all the time for work and can't stand that place (except for San Diego, it doesn't belong in that state). The cost of living is attrocious, people are annoying, they don't know how to drive, etc.

As for the earthquake vs. hurricane debate, at least you know when a hurricane is coming and can prepare for it and get out of its way. You never know when a massive earthquake is going to come and trap you away from your family with no way to get in touch with them.

I would love to live in both places, but if I had to choose, I would choose florida simply for the proximity to the Bahamas, and florida has better scuba diving. I really don't care about surfing and the big waves of California.

Plus the fishing in florida is way better than Cali.

This question should be changed to "Who would you rather deal with: Mexicans or Cubans?" :D

Pumchavas28

Florida. You actually might be able to afford to live in Florida.

whitelightnin_23

I'll have to say I've met WAAY cooler mexicans than Cubans...

PLEASE note the "per my experience" caveat...and this is in NO way a generalization of all Cubans...just my take based on the many I have met/worked with:
Cubans (that I have met) are pretty intense & rude/in your face.
Miami was just voted as the "rudest drivers"...if you hesitate for a 1/2 second there...you're getting the horn or the finger...

Florida. You actually might be able to afford to live in Florida.

that may change w/ the increasing homeowner's premiums in FL...

and the added cost to build a house there...
my parent's house has tripled (and on it's way to quadrupling) in value since moving there in 98.

White, you're right about Cubans. Haven't you seen Bad Boys II?
