A new candidate has emerged for father of the year. Just reading this made me sick to my stomach.

A Japanese drop box for unwanted babies triggered a wave of nationwide soul searching Wednesday, a day after it was discovered a preschooler -- and not an infant -- had been dumped there by his father on its first day of operation.

I saw the report about this "drop box" on drudge a few days back...I guess they got their first customer...

what an a-hole...but on the bright side...hopefully this kid will grow up in a better environment...

Another candidate has entered the race for father of the year. This guy tried to hire a hitman to kill his 7 year old daughter, his wife, and mother in law.

A man tried to hire a hit man to kill his family, including his 7-year-old daughter, even requesting that she be shot in the chest and not the head so there could be an open casket at her funeral, authorities say.


During the recorded conversation, the man repeatedly expressed concern that Orlowski might regret the killing of his daughter. But Orlowski assured the man that he would have no such regret, saying at one point, "It's got more to do with my wife than anything," according to the affidavit.
