We are going to see the most lopsided game as far as ref calls in any game in any sport EVER!
The media is working this thing hard. the whole world is crying a river for the suns

I was wrong! Thank god I was wrong. Did anyone catch on to all the screens set on Bowen and HOW they were doing the screen against him?
It was like EVERY single screen set on Bowen there was a slight push or moving their body to bump him or try to rough him up...
one time in the 2nd half PHX was called on it (foul)

I would've had that Burke guy straight lay him out and bounce his bubble head off the court.

It's the playoffs.. that is gonna happen regardles... it was worst in the Denver Series when he was on AI... and it wasn't called.. what the Suns did was not nearly as bad as Denver....
I don't get overly worked up over contact fouls in the playoffs simply because every team gets more physical... I do however get upset when there is no contact & the refs call a contact foul.... those piss me off... it happened once last night....
I think Marion was called for a foul that I don't think should have been called away from the basket... he barely touched Finley & was called for something.... Finley didn't flop or anything, he was just called for the foul....
1 foul that pissed me off, was the Flop that Thomas did on Parker.... Thomas is twice as big & weighs 3 times more than Tony & he made it seem like Shaq had just leaned into him.... But whatever....
I'll be at Game 6.....

The one on Parker.... was that in the 4th quarter? I saw someone draw a foul on Paker or Manu that was flat out ridiculous. Guy flopped like a freight train hit him

But there are always bad calls.... so 1 or 2 is cool.....
If one thing pissed me off more than anything... was the poor shooting int he 1st 1/2 from the Spurs... I was completly disgusted....
The whole game reminded me of the A&M - Kansas Football game.... A&M was the better team, more talented, but KU came out & played their @$$ off & put up a good fight until the last minute or so when A&M took the lead...
Granted A&M was not on their "A" game, but esentially, I had that same feeling...
The Spurs were off the mark & not playing their game.. or at least their shots were not going down like the did in the 2nd half....
I gotta admit 1 thing... Pop is gutsy.... Rotating players out when his team is down 11 points in that enviroment like everything is cool.... I was shocked he took Tim out when the Spurs were struggling.... But it worked out in the end.

Don't post then... ;)
Honestly... I am just being objective.... I am not bashing the Suns or anything... Just being real about "last night's game"...
If folks don't like the convo or have anything constructive to add, don't post....
I leave quite a few convo's alone because I think they are dumb or I just don't like them....
It's not hard to leave the post alone... ;)

No Im not bashing the suns either. the game was called ALOT better than I anticipated. They played their butts off too. We just played lights out in the last 2 mins. The last few turnovers killed the Suns

pum...chill man...
by my post I wasn't opining on whether it was bad (or good) conversation...
carry on...:gig:
Go Spurs...and Go Suns...
but just because you leave some conversations alone...doesn't mean everyone has to abide by that rule too...
good for you.

Not saying they do... just a suggestion....
It just seems that lately folks jump on threads just to start things (not saying that's what your doing) and then what should have or could have been a cool convo between a couple/few folks, has now been hijacked & turned into a pissing contest (Standing/Squatting) between 2 people... It just gets boring & old real fast.....

Yeah he's been pretty cool..... Just some folks I guess get so bored or having nothing constructive to add, so they just go from thread to thread to get a rise out of folks on not only Spurs, but pretty much every issue/topic it seems...

gotya...we're  pum...:gig:
on topic now...you think the suspensions had a role in the game?
Phx was up to a considerable lead...but looked like they petered out toward the end (going off highlights)...you think depth/conditioning had a role in their collapse???

I think it was more Coaching than anything....
Coach Pop wasn't afraid to play people who never see the floor or who are playing poorly in this series like Barry, Bonner & Vaughn.
Couch D could have done the same thing instead of just giving 3 minutes to one bench player & regulating himself to only 1 back up..... Coach D showed last night that his system wont work with just anyone...
Also, I don't think the Suns or Spurs would have played or prepared the same had Amare & Diaw been in the game.
It would have been different...
The Spurs have won on the Suns court with Amare & Diaw on the team & lost with them on the team....

Coach D also admitted he didn't have any kind of strategy... He was just winging it....
I think Coach D or Nash were also dumb for going away from Marion in the 2nd half... He was their hot hand & they stopped going to him in the 2nd half...
There were times where Parker, Manu or Finley were guarding him & Marion can easily score on those 3 guys as much as I hate to say it... and at none of those times did the Suns give him the ball....
Instead Coach D or Nash forced the issue to Thomas who should not have been a focal point....

you HAVE to be kidding me...if true, that is horrible.
for ANY coach to admit that is reedonkulus. It may be TRUE, but you don't throw it out there...

I thought the whole strategy for PHX was to go really small
4 smalls
1 big
???

That's what he said in his post game press conference...
He said they were just trying to gut it out & really didn't have a legit strategy....

Pretty Much.... I know their main plan was go 5 on 5, man to man the whole game with Thomas on Tim the whole time...
The only thing is Tim has more endurance than Thomas does & it showed in the 2nd half...

the impression I got from hearing him talk was. they thought they had a really good chance going really small. there was no way they could win playing big ball so they tried going very small to create some sorta advantage. which that does work at times. but we have smaller guys that can shut down "small ball"

thats why I talk trash, incite anger in non-spurs fans, and then leave the thread for days. then theres no pissing contest. its more of a dump and run
