anyone know of any class action suits or major recalls that have been issued for chevrolet trucks that are 1996-1999 models? heard anything?
friend is having some problems and thought i'd ask here to see if anyone owned one and was currently involved with or knew about something like that.

nope... I know 2 people that own these year models. One is a 6 cyc but full size
the other two trucks are 5.7L and full size
no problems really other than the rear end in one of the trucks and tranny issues in another

a chevy with a transmission problem? No way.
Sorry, every gm product my parents ever owned never lasted more than 60K wihout huge drivetrain problems.

We currently have 231k on a grand am.... no trans issues
We actually have a long list of GM products with many miles and no transmission issues
I just replaced the trans in my 84 Z28 at 189k
